mydawAI Review: What It Does Well and What It Doesn't Do Yet

The short answer

mydawAI does one job well: it reminds you and your family to take medicines on WhatsApp, with one Taken button, missed-dose alerts for caretakers and refills from your own chemist after you say yes. It does not yet have a native phone app, it speaks only English and Hindi, and pharmacy orders go out only between 9 AM and 6 PM.

What is mydawAI, in one line?

mydawAI is a medicine reminder service for Indian families that works on WhatsApp. You add your medicines once, and each dose arrives as a WhatsApp message with a Taken button.

This page is written by the mydawAI team, so we have tried to be straight about both sides: what works well today and what is not there yet.

What does mydawAI do well?

Reminders that people actually see, for the whole family, without installing anything.

  • WhatsApp, not another app. Reminders arrive where people already spend their day, which matters most for parents who do not like new apps.
  • One button. Each reminder has a single Taken button. There is nothing to configure on the phone that receives it.
  • Easy setup. Add medicines from a prescription photo or PDF, a voice note in English or Hindi, or by typing. mydawAI asks about anything missing, such as a time or a dose, and nothing is saved until you confirm.
  • Family care. Add unlimited family members to your Care Circle. Each one agrees on their own WhatsApp before reminders start.
  • Missed-dose alerts. If a dose stays untaken, mydawAI can remind again and then tell the caretaker.
  • Stock and refills. Every Taken tap lowers the count. Auto-refill asks you first, then sends the order to your own local chemist on WhatsApp.
  • Chintu. The mydawAI koala answers questions about your schedule and your medicines on WhatsApp and by voice in the web app.
  • Privacy. Medicine data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and hosted on AWS in Mumbai.

What doesn't mydawAI do yet?

These are the honest limits as of October 2026.

  • No native mobile app. mydawAI is a web app at app.mydawai.in plus WhatsApp. It works in any phone browser, but there is no Play Store or App Store app yet.
  • Two languages. English and Hindi only. Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu and other languages are not supported yet.
  • Pharmacy hours. Refill orders go to your chemist only between 9 AM and 6 PM, grouped together so the chemist is not flooded. An order made at night goes out in the morning.
  • No delivery of its own. mydawAI does not sell or deliver medicines. Your own chemist supplies them.
  • Not medical advice. Chintu never diagnoses and never changes a dose. That is deliberate, and your doctor stays in charge.
  • Taken only. A reminder has one action, Taken. A dose can be marked from 30 minutes before its time and only on its own day, which keeps the record honest but means you cannot fix last week's log.

Who is mydawAI best for?

People who take daily or weekly medicines, and anyone who looks after someone who does.

  • Adult children keeping track of parents' medicines, including from another city.
  • People with long-term medicines for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid or cholesterol.
  • Families with several people on different schedules.
  • Anyone who keeps running out before refilling.

Who might want something else?

If you need a language other than English or Hindi, or you do not use WhatsApp, mydawAI is not the right fit today. The same goes for anyone who wants a medicine delivery service rather than reminders.

How much does mydawAI cost?

Nothing during beta. There is no card on your account, so nothing can be charged. See mydawAI pricing.
