mydawAI (“we”, “us”) is a medicine reminder service. This policy explains what we collect, why, how it is protected, and how you can delete it. It applies to the mydawAI website and app (mydawai.in and its subdomains) and to our WhatsApp assistant, Chintu.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, and WhatsApp phone number, plus the names and phone numbers of family members you add so we can remind them.
- Medicine information: medicine names, doses, schedules, stock counts, and any notes you or your doctor’s prescription provide.
- Prescriptions and voice notes you upload so we can read the medicines off them.
- Messages you exchange with Chintu on WhatsApp or in the app, and whether you marked a reminder as taken.
- Pharmacy details you add (name, phone number, address) if you use restock requests.
How we use it
- To send medicine reminders and to record whether a dose was taken.
- To answer questions about your own medicine schedule through Chintu.
- To alert the account holder when a family member they care for has not responded to a reminder, or has asked a medical question Chintu is not allowed to answer.
- To send a restock request to a pharmacy you chose, only when you ask us to.
- To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
Chintu never gives medical advice. It does not diagnose, change doses, or judge whether a medicine is right for you. Questions of that kind are declined and, for a family member, their caretaker is informed so a real person can follow up.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the purpose listed: Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) to deliver and receive WhatsApp messages; Sarvam AI to understand messages, transcribe voice notes and read medicine details from text; Mistral AI to read text off prescription images; Amazon Web Services (Mumbai region) to host the service and store uploads; Vercel to serve the website; and Resend to send account emails. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
How it is protected
- Medical free text (prescription contents, transcripts, chat messages, notes, what Chintu remembers about a person) is encrypted with a key held only by the application, before it is stored. Someone with access to the database alone cannot read it.
- Uploaded files are stored encrypted in a private bucket that is not publicly reachable.
- All traffic uses HTTPS. Access to production systems is logged.
- Each family member is treated as a separate person: their conversation and what Chintu remembers about them are kept apart from other members on the same account.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept while your account is active. Voice notes are deleted once the medicines on them are confirmed, and in any case within 30 days. If you delete a family member, their conversation history and everything Chintu learned about them are deleted with them. Backups are kept for 30 days.
Your choices and deleting your data
- You can edit or remove medicines, family members and pharmacies in the app at any time.
- You can opt out of WhatsApp reminders from Settings in the app.
- To delete your account and all associated data, email hello@mydawai.in from the address on your account. We complete deletion within 30 days and confirm by email.
Children
mydawAI is meant for adults. A caretaker may add a child or dependent to their own account; the caretaker remains responsible for that information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will note the new date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell you by email or WhatsApp.
