How to Keep Your Prescriptions Organised and Private

The short answer

mydawAI encrypts every uploaded prescription before it is stored, encrypts medicine names, doses, notes and chats in its database with AES-256-GCM, and hosts everything on AWS in Mumbai. Your data is never sold or used for ads.

Prescriptions pile up: in drawers, in phone galleries, in WhatsApp chats with the family. When you finally need last month's one at the pharmacy, it is never where you left it. And the photos sitting in a shared gallery reveal a lot about your health. mydawAI fixes both problems at once.

What is the best way to keep prescriptions organised?

Keep every prescription in one place, linked to the person it belongs to and the medicines it started. In mydawAI each uploaded prescription sits on the Prescriptions page, tied to the medicines and reminders it created, for you or a family member.

A simple routine that works:

  1. Photograph or upload each new prescription the day you get it
  2. Assign it to the right person in your Care Circle
  3. Confirm the medicines so reminders start
  4. Add your doctor to your doctors list for quick reference
  5. Let mydawAI track stock, so the next refill is one WhatsApp tap

How does mydawAI protect my prescription files?

Every file you upload is encrypted by mydawAI before it is stored, using AES-256-GCM, and storage-level encryption sits on top of that. Someone who somehow got access to the storage alone would see only scrambled data.

Is my medicine information encrypted too?

Yes. Medicine names, strengths, doses, food instructions, notes, family member names and your chats with Chintu are encrypted at rest in the database. Database or backup access alone does not reveal them.

Who can actually see my prescriptions?

You, as the account holder, can see your own and your family's medicines. The mydawAI service decrypts information only when it needs to, for example to put the medicine name in your reminder or to show you your list.

We want to be honest about the limits. This is not zero-knowledge encryption: the service holds the key, because it has to send reminders that name your medicine. To read a prescription photo or voice note, the content is processed by our AI provider, Sarvam AI, an Indian company. What encryption at rest buys you is that a leaked database or backup on its own shows nothing useful.

Does mydawAI sell my data?

No. mydawAI does not sell your data and does not use it for advertising. Service providers are used only for running the service: Meta for WhatsApp messages, Sarvam AI for understanding text and voice, AWS for hosting, and email delivery for account emails.

It is convenient but not organised, and photos in a shared family group can be seen by everyone in it. A dedicated place like mydawAI keeps each prescription with its owner, links it to real reminders, and keeps the file encrypted.

  • Gallery photos get mixed with everything else and are easy to lose
  • Family groups share every image with every member
  • A photo does not remind anyone to take a dose
  • A photo does not tell the pharmacy what to refill

Can a pharmacy see my prescription?

Only when you send a refill order that includes it. With auto-refill, mydawAI asks you on WhatsApp first, and only after your yes does the order, with the prescription if attached, reach your chosen local pharmacy on their WhatsApp. Nothing goes to a pharmacy without your yes.
