For Pharmacy Owners: Getting mydawAI Orders on WhatsApp

The short answer

mydawAI sends your regular customers' refill orders to your pharmacy's WhatsApp as a neat list with the prescription attached. You tap Confirm or Can't supply, and arrange payment and pickup with the customer as usual. It is free for pharmacies, needs no app, and you can stop it any time.

Why did my pharmacy get a message from mydawAI?

Because one of your customers uses mydawAI to manage their medicines and chose your shop as their pharmacy. mydawAI only messages a pharmacy when a customer places an order. Simply being saved as someone's pharmacy sends you nothing.

mydawAI is a medicine reminder service. It reminds people to take their medicines on WhatsApp, tracks how much they have left, and sends their refill orders to the local chemist they already trust: you.

How do mydawAI orders reach my pharmacy?

As a short WhatsApp message saying you have new orders, with buttons to view them. Here is how it works:

  1. A customer requests a refill, or approves an auto-refill, in mydawAI.
  2. mydawAI waits for shop hours, 9 AM to 6 PM IST.
  3. You get one "N new orders" message, grouped every couple of hours, not one ping per customer.
  4. Tap View orders to see them, a few at a time.
  5. Each order shows the customer's name, the medicine list with quantities, a contact number, and the prescription as a document when they attached one.
  6. Tap Confirm, Can't supply, or Block customer.

What do Confirm, Can't supply and Block customer do?

ButtonWhat it meansWhat the customer sees
ConfirmYou can prepare this orderThe order is marked confirmed
Can't supplyYou cannot fulfil itThey know to try another pharmacy
Block customerYou do not want orders from this customerNo more orders from them reach you

How do payment and delivery work?

Exactly as they do today. mydawAI does not sell medicines and does not take payment. You and the customer arrange payment, pickup or home delivery directly, using the contact number on the order. Please dispense as per the prescription and your usual practice.

How do I stop receiving orders?

Tap Stop orders on any mydawAI message, or reply STOP. That stops orders from all mydawAI customers to your number. Reply START any time to resume.

Will mydawAI spam my pharmacy?

No. mydawAI is designed to be considerate of busy shops:

  • Messages only during 9 AM to 6 PM IST
  • One grouped notice every couple of hours, not a message per order
  • A daily cap on orders per pharmacy number
  • If you never open the first message, mydawAI does not keep messaging you, and your customer is offered a way to send the order themselves

Why is this good for my pharmacy?

Because it keeps your regular customers coming back to you. People on long-term medicines often drift to apps for convenience. mydawAI gives them that same convenience while sending the order to their neighbourhood chemist. You get:

  • Clear, typed orders instead of blurry photos or late-night voice notes
  • The prescription attached
  • Orders timed for when you are open
  • Customers who stay loyal to your shop

Customers can read the other side of this in how to refill medicines from your local pharmacy on WhatsApp.

Is customer data safe?

mydawAI encrypts medicine and prescription data at rest with AES-256 and hosts the service on AWS in Mumbai. A pharmacy only sees the orders that customers choose to send it.
