How mydawAI Care Circle Works for Family Medicine Reminders

The short answer

Care Circle is the mydawAI feature that lets one person manage medicines for the whole family. You can add unlimited family members, and each one gets reminders on their own WhatsApp once they agree.

What is mydawAI Care Circle?

Care Circle is where you add the people whose medicines you help manage. One account holder, usually the person who already handles the family's health, can add parents, a spouse, children or grandparents, with no cap on how many.

Each family member gets their own medicine list, their own schedule, their own language and, once they agree, their own WhatsApp reminders. You see everything in one place.

How do I add a family member?

Open Care Circle in the mydawAI app and add a name, relation, WhatsApp number and preferred language. That is all you need to start.

  1. Go to Settings and open Care Circle.
  2. Enter your family member's name and relation, like "Mummy" or "Dadi".
  3. Add their WhatsApp number.
  4. Choose English or Hindi for their reminders and chats.
  5. Save. mydawAI sends them a WhatsApp message asking if they agree to be added.

Because reminders should only go to people who want them. mydawAI asks each family member on WhatsApp before sending reminders to their number.

Until they say yes, nothing is lost. Their reminders come to you instead, labelled with their name, for example "Amlodipine (for Sunita)". You can remind them yourself until they confirm. If someone declines, their number cannot be re-added for a while, which protects people from being added without their say.

What can each family member do?

Each family member can tap Taken on their reminders and chat with Chintu, the mydawAI koala, about their own medicines. They only see their own medicines, never anyone else's.

What happens when a family member misses a dose?

If you turn on escalation for that person, mydawAI resends the reminder at the interval you set and then alerts you if it is still untaken. You choose the retry interval and how many retries happen first.

This is described in detail in our guide on missed dose alerts for caregivers.

What if a family member asks Chintu a medical question?

Chintu declines anything that needs a doctor, like a diagnosis or a dose change, and lets you know so you can follow up. Chintu can still share general, well established information about medicines already on their list, and it answers in their chosen language.

Can I refill medicines for family members too?

Yes. Every Taken reduces that person's stock. With auto-refill on, mydawAI asks you, the account holder, on WhatsApp when stock is low. Only after you say "Yes" does the order go to your local pharmacy on WhatsApp with the prescription, delivered as orders between 9 AM and 6 PM.

Is there a limit on family members?

No. There is deliberately no cap. Joint families, grandparents, in-laws, everyone can be in one Care Circle.

Why Care Circle makes mydawAI the best family medicine app

Most reminder apps assume one person, one phone, one list. Indian families do not work that way. mydawAI was designed around the real setup: one person coordinating, several people taking medicines, and WhatsApp as the shared language.
