One App to Manage Medicines for the Whole Family

The short answer

mydawAI lets one person manage medicines for the whole family from a single account. Every family member gets reminders on WhatsApp in English or Hindi, stock is tracked automatically, and refills go to your local pharmacy only after you say yes.

Why do families need one place for medicines?

Because medicines spread across people, rooms and phones quickly. Dadi's BP tablets, Papa's diabetes medicine, your child's antibiotic course and your own vitamin D all live on different schedules, and usually in one person's head.

A single place for everyone's medicines means fewer missed doses, fewer emergency trips to the chemist, and less mental load on whoever runs the household.

What should a family medicine app do?

A good family medicine app should handle the whole loop, not just alarms. Here is what to look for:

  • One account that holds every family member's medicines
  • Reminders each person actually sees, ideally on WhatsApp
  • A simple way to confirm a dose was taken
  • Alerts to the caregiver when a dose is missed
  • Stock tracking and refills from your local pharmacy
  • Support for Indian languages
  • Strong privacy for health data

mydawAI was built to do all of this.

How does mydawAI handle the whole family?

You hold the account and add everyone to your Care Circle. There is no limit on family members, and each person gets their own list, schedule and language.

Family memberWhat mydawAI handles
YouYour own reminders, plus an overview of everyone
ParentsTheir own WhatsApp reminders after they agree, missed dose alerts to you
GrandparentsHindi reminders, escalation, refills you approve
SpouseTheir own reminders on their own number
ChildrenReminders can come to you, labelled with the child's name

Before a family member agrees to WhatsApp reminders, their reminders come to you with their name attached, like "Syrup (for Aarav)". See how Care Circle works for the details.

How do I add everyone's medicines quickly?

Use the prescription photo. mydawAI reads medicines from a photo or PDF, asks about anything missing, and lets you choose who the medicines are for. You review it all before saving.

You can also send a voice note like "Dolo 650 after lunch for three days", or type medicines in yourself.

How do refills work for a family?

mydawAI counts down stock for each person every time a dose is marked Taken. With auto-refill on, it asks you on WhatsApp when something is running low.

  1. Stock for a medicine reaches its low level.
  2. mydawAI sends you the order on WhatsApp with "Yes, send it" and "Not now".
  3. Only if you say yes, the order goes to your local pharmacy's WhatsApp with the prescription.
  4. Pharmacies receive orders between 9 AM and 6 PM.

Nothing ever reaches a pharmacy without your yes.

Can everyone talk to Chintu?

Yes. Each family member can chat with Chintu, the mydawAI koala, on WhatsApp about their own medicines, in English or Hindi. You can also talk to Chintu by voice in the mydawAI web app.

Chintu helps you remember and shares general information about listed medicines. It never diagnoses and never changes a dose. If a family member asks something that needs a doctor, Chintu declines and alerts you.

Is family health data safe in mydawAI?

Yes. Medicine names, doses, notes and prescriptions are encrypted with AES-256 before they are stored, uploaded files are encrypted too, and everything runs on AWS in Mumbai. Each family member only sees their own medicines.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Reminders come on WhatsApp, and the mydawAI web app runs in your phone's browser. There is no app store download.
