Insulin Reminder App: Never Miss a Shot With mydawAI

The short answer
Insulin works only when it is given at the right time, whether it is a mealtime shot, a premixed dose or a once-a-day basal insulin. mydawAI sends a WhatsApp reminder for every insulin dose with a Taken button and can alert a caretaker if one is missed.
Forgetting a Insulin dose is common, especially on busy days. mydawAI fixes that by sending your Insulin reminder on WhatsApp, the app you already check all day.
What is Insulin used for?
Insulin is prescribed for type 1 diabetes and for many people with type 2 diabetes. There are several types: rapid and short-acting insulins usually linked to meals, intermediate and long-acting (basal) insulins that cover the background, and premixed insulins that combine both. Most are given by pen or syringe. Your doctor decides which type you use and when.
Does the timing of Insulin matter?
Each type of insulin has its own timing, and getting that timing right is part of how it works. Mealtime insulin is usually given around a meal, as your doctor directed. Basal insulin is usually given at the same time each day. Premixed insulin is often taken before breakfast and dinner. With several shots a day it is very easy to lose track, and a reminder plus a record of each Taken dose takes that load off your memory.
How do I add Insulin to mydawAI?
It takes about five minutes, and you never have to open an app at reminder time.
- Create your free mydawAI account and confirm your WhatsApp number.
- Upload a prescription photo or PDF, record a voice note in English or Hindi (for example "Insulin before breakfast and before dinner"), or type the medicine name and time.
- Check the schedule on the review screen. Nothing is saved until you approve it.
- At each Insulin time, a WhatsApp message arrives. Tap Taken once you have had it.
Can mydawAI remind my parent or family member to take Insulin?
Yes. Add them to your Care Circle and their Insulin reminders go to their own WhatsApp once they agree. There is no limit on family members, and each person can get reminders in English or Hindi. If you turn on missed-dose escalation, mydawAI reminds them again when Taken is not tapped and then alerts you, so you know without having to call.
How does mydawAI help me refill Insulin?
mydawAI counts down your Insulin stock with every Taken tap and can order a refill from your local pharmacy after you approve it. When stock is low, Chintu sends you a WhatsApp message asking whether to order. Say yes and the order, with the prescription, goes to your chemist's WhatsApp during their hours (9 AM to 6 PM). Payment and delivery or pickup stay between you and your pharmacy.
I missed my Insulin. What now?
Read the missed-dose section of the Insulin leaflet or call your pharmacist or doctor, and do not double the next dose unless told to. mydawAI marks the dose as missed so you and your doctor can see the pattern, and it can alert a caretaker when escalation is on.
Will mydawAI's Chintu explain Insulin?
Yes, Chintu answers general, well-established questions about Insulin on WhatsApp or by voice in the mydawAI web app. It never diagnoses, never changes or approves a dose and always points you back to your doctor. You can ask things like:
- "Did I take my insulin before lunch?"
- "How should I store insulin in summer?"
- "Why should I rotate injection sites?"
